Oba Ewuare II Unleashes Ancestral Curse on Kidnappers, Robbers, Evil Doers in Edo State

The revered Benin Monarch, Omo N’ Oba N’ Edo, Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba Ewuare II, has pronounced a potent spiritual anathema against individuals engaged in kidnapping, armed robbery, and anyone contemplating nefarious activities within his kingdom and across Edo State. This significant spiritual exercise was orchestrated by an assembly of priests and priestesses from various shrines, including the Ewaise (traditional physicians), members of the Iwebo society, and devotees of Aiyelala.

The spiritual procession commenced from the Oba’s Palace, culminating at the palace’s principal entrance in Benin City. Participants, adorned in traditional ceremonial attire and bearing sacred spiritual artifacts, performed a series of ancient rites. These rituals included the pouring of libations and propitiatory ceremonies, all specifically aimed at invoking ancestral spirits. The spirits were called upon to bear witness and act decisively against those perpetrating acts of violence and their collaborators throughout the state.
