Louisville Woman Accused of Boyfriend's Fatal Attack with Nailed Plank

A woman in Louisville, Kentucky, is currently facing a murder charge after she allegedly attacked her boyfriend with a wooden board containing nails, leading to his death. Court documents obtained by the local news outlet WLKY indicate that 33-year-old Marvinesha Hopkins was taken into custody on June 20 following a domestic altercation with her partner.
Hopkins reportedly informed law enforcement officials that the dispute escalated when her boyfriend struck her in the face. In retaliation, she admitted to hitting him with a glass bottle and a wooden stick. Subsequently, she is accused of striking him again, this time with a wooden board that a witness claimed had nails embedded in it.
Following the incident, the victim was rushed to the hospital in an unconscious state and required a ventilator for survival. Medical personnel at the hospital reportedly notified police that the victim sustained a cut on his head. Tragically, he passed away in the hospital on June 25. The day after his death, Hopkins was officially charged with domestic-violence-related murder.
