Diesel Diversion Scandal Rocks UCH as Staff Caught Selling Fuel Meant for Critical Units

The University College Hospital in Ibadan is currently grappling with a severe power crisis, which has resulted in some parts of the hospital being left in darkness. In an effort to mitigate this situation, diesel was purchased to power critical units. However, it has come to light that some staff members have been diverting this diesel for personal use. A recent incident saw some of these staff members being caught in the act. A video that has surfaced online shows one of the culprits being confronted by an individual who is filming the scene. The person filming can be heard saying, 'There must be an evidence,' as they capture footage of kegs of diesel inside a mini bus. This incident has sparked a heated conversation about the pervasive nature of corruption in all sectors, including among low-level workers. The fact that hospital staff would engage in such activities, especially when the hospital is in dire need of power, is particularly disturbing. The video of the incident has been shared online, shedding light on the extent of corruption within the hospital's staff.
