The Ekiti State government, under the leadership of Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, has embarked on a strategic drive to attract foreign investors to the state's burgeoning tourism sector. Recently, a team of 14 investors, comprising local and international stakeholders, including the intercontinental aviation investor, Mr. Mohammed Fazzani, and led by Ambassador Olawanle Akinboboye, the founder and President of La Campagne Tropicana Beach Resort, visited the state on a fact-finding mission. The delegation, which included tourism consultants, economists, technical experts, and media professionals, was received by a senior government official at the Governor's Office in Ado-Ekiti, where they were presented with the state's tourism investment roadmap and highlighted its vast array of tourism resources. These resources include waterfalls, warm springs, hills, caves, forests, cultural festivals, historical monuments, and food heritage. According to the government official, the Oyebanji administration has created an enabling environment for investors through improved infrastructure, enhanced security, policy reforms, and institutional support. The state has also completed its Tourism Development Master Plan and Tourism Policy to provide a clear framework for sustainable tourism investment. This development is seen as a significant endorsement of the state's deliberate efforts to position itself as a leading tourism and investment destination, thereby fostering economic diversification and growth.
