“I bathed my child and sent her to school. I was in the kitchen cooking so she would have something to eat when she returned, when I suddenly saw bandits entering our town and they started shooting. I hid myself and from where I was hiding, I saw them assembling my child together with other children.

I am begging the government. I am from Benin Republic; I came here to work as a merchant so I can take care of my children, hoping they will also take care of me when I am old. Their father is late. I am in Yawata working as a trader to support her. The government is trying, but they should please help us bring our child back alive,”
