A heart-wrenching incident unfolded in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, India, where an entire family tragically lost their lives following a dispute over a new mobile phone. The family, who had previously endured the loss of their eldest son to illness six years prior, faced another devastating blow on Friday, August 21, 2026.

The unfortunate chain of events began around 10 a.m. local time when 19-year-old Kunal Chandgude ascended Khawadya Hill. He had been engaged in a heated argument with his parents regarding payment for a new cellphone he had acquired. His father, Murlidhar, aged 48, and mother, Sangita, pursued him up the hill after he reportedly threatened to end his life by jumping from the cliff's edge.

Footage of the incident captured a crowd of onlookers observing from a safe distance, desperately pleading with the young man to retreat from the perilous precipice. The video shows his mother cautiously moving closer to him, only for Kunal to warn her to keep her distance. Despite continuous pleas from his worried parents and other bystanders to move away from the dangerous edge, he remained steadfast.

As the video nears its conclusion, Murlidhar, the father, made a desperate attempt to pull his son away from the cliff. However, Kunal resisted, dragging himself backward and ultimately falling, inadvertently pulling his father along with him. In a horrifying turn of events, as both father and son plunged head-first down the cliff, Sangita, the mother, immediately threw herself off the edge, following her family to their untimely demise. This shocking tragedy, widely shared through footage, occurred in Maharashtra, India.
