Former Premier League goalkeeper and football pundit, Shay Given, has officially married his long-term fiancée, Rebecca Gibson, following a remarkable twelve-year engagement. The ceremony for the 50-year-old Republic of Ireland legend, who previously played for clubs like Newcastle United and Manchester City, was held at the iconic Westminster Abbey on Saturday, October 10.

For the special occasion, Given was dressed in a classic tuxedo, while Gibson looked elegant in a gown designed by New York's Tom Sebastien. Their two daughters, Gracie and Cassie, were part of the bridal train, alongside Sienna, Given's daughter from his first marriage to Jane Cunningham. Given and Cunningham also share a son named Shayne.

After exchanging vows, the newlyweds, who initially met when Gibson was working in public relations, hosted an after-party at the luxurious Hotel Cafe Royal. Given is widely celebrated as one of Ireland's finest goalkeepers, boasting an impressive career that included 451 appearances in the English top flight across various Premier League clubs such as Aston Villa, Stoke City, and Blackburn Rovers.

Since retiring from professional football, Given has successfully transitioned into television punditry, regularly contributing his expert analysis to major sports media outlets like BBC Sport.
