Man Utd Eyes Midfield Duo for Third Summer Signing

Manchester United's quest for a third midfielder this summer has led them to strongly consider Roma's Manu Kone and Brighton's Carlos Baleba. According to reports, the club has revisited the possibility of signing Baleba, a player they have been interested in for a while, despite his struggles last season. However, no official contact has been made between the clubs yet, and a compromise on the player's valuation needs to be reached. On the other hand, Kone is viewed as an alternative target, with Roma's demands expected to be lower than Brighton's for Baleba. United have tentatively explored the possibility of signing the Frenchman, who impressed at the World Cup this summer. Sources in France indicate that United are currently leading the race to sign Kone, although any suggestion of an imminent move is premature. Bournemouth's Tyler Adams is also a name on United's list of midfield targets, along with teammate Alex Scott, who recently rejected a new contract offer from the Cherries. With the signings of Youri Tielemans and Andrey Santos already completed, United are taking their time to determine the best option to pursue, while also looking at other areas to strengthen the team. The club has signed two midfielders so far this summer, spending a combined £85m on Tielemans and Santos.
