Fenerbahçe, the reigning champions of the Turkish Women's Super League, has officially secured the services of Nigerian midfielder Suliat Abideen. The 24-year-old joins the Istanbul-based club from another Turkish outfit, ABB Fomget, with the transfer being formally announced on Monday. Abideen has committed to a contract that will see her represent Fenerbahçe until the current season concludes.

Her addition to the Fenerbahçe roster brings the total number of Nigerian players at the club to three. She now links up with fellow countrymen Regina Otu and Flourish Sabastine, who are already established members of the squad. This move signifies Abideen's second venture with a European club, building on her previous tenure at ABB Fomget.

Abideen first gained significant recognition for her instrumental role in Edo Queens' triumphant 2024 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) season, where they clinched the title. Her exceptional displays throughout that championship campaign were further acknowledged when she was awarded the coveted NWFL Most Valuable Player accolade.
