Sturm Graz Reportedly Pursues Venezuelan Defender Luis Balbo

Austrian top-tier football club, Sturm Graz, is actively preparing for the upcoming season, with their sights set on strengthening the squad. The Graz-based team is scheduled to kick off their official campaign early, hosting Scottish vice-champions Hearts on Tuesday in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League second qualifying round.
The club is currently in the market for a new left-back, following the recent departure of Emir Karic to the USA. Reports indicate that Sturm Graz has approached Fiorentina, expressing keen interest in acquiring the services of Venezuelan international defender, Luis Balbo. The 19-year-old had a notable past season, making six appearances in Italy's Serie A, three in the Conference League, and one in the Coppa Italia for his current club.
In other transfer news, Israeli media outlet, sport5, suggests that Maccabi Haifa is interested in defender Emanuel Aiwu, who is reportedly out of favour at Sturm Graz. Meanwhile, the club continues its search for a new striker, although they have extended the contract of 20-year-old forward Leon Grgic, who missed the previous season due to a cruciate ligament injury.
