Beşiktaş Held to Stalemate by Malzenice in Friendly Match

Beşiktaş, the Turkish football club, has played out a 1-1 draw with Slovakian side Malzenice in a pre-season friendly match. The encounter, which was held behind closed doors, saw Beşiktaş take the lead in the 11th minute through a goal by Hyeongyu Oh. However, the Slovakian team managed to level the score, resulting in a 1-1 stalemate at the end of the match. This fixture was part of Beşiktaş' pre-season preparations, which are currently underway in Slovakia. Under the guidance of their new technical director, Vincenzo Italiano, Beşiktaş had earlier commenced their pre-season campaign with a 2-1 victory over Gyirmot, a Hungarian team, courtesy of goals from Ahmet Sami Bircan and Devrim Şahin. In their subsequent friendly match, they played out a goalless draw against another Hungarian side, MTE 1904 KFT. On the same day, Beşiktaş also engaged in other friendly matches, defeating Austrian team Mattersburg 1-0 with a goal from new signing İlhan Fakılı, while suffering a 2-0 loss to Polish outfit Widzew Lodz. The Turkish club is set to face FC Spartak Trnava in their final pre-season match in Slovakia.
