President Tinubu Chairs Crucial National Security Council Session

On Thursday, President Bola Tinubu convened a significant gathering of the National Security Council (NSC) at the State House. During this high-level meeting, the President received comprehensive updates on the prevailing security landscape across Nigeria from senior military officials. The Chief of Defence Staff, General Olufemi Oluyede, led these briefings.
Key figures present included various service chiefs and the heads of prominent security and intelligence organizations, such as the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), the Defence Intelligence Agency, and the Department of State Services (DSS). These officials provided the President with the latest information regarding security developments within their respective areas of operation.
The session, which took place in the President’s office, saw the attendance of several high-ranking government and security personnel. Among them were the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu; the Special Adviser to the President on Homeland Security, Major General Adeyinka Famadewa; the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu; and the Chief of Defence Intelligence, Lieutenant General Emmanuel Akomaye Undiandeye. Also participating were Ambassador Mohammed Mohammed, the Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency, and Adeola Oluwatosin Ajayi, the Director-General of the Department of State Services.
