The Rotary Club of Abuja Sapphire has made a landmark decision, re-electing Dr. Pat Oramah to serve another Rotary year as president. This makes him the first individual in the club's history to secure a second consecutive term. His re-election, which was announced after his initial tenure concluded on June 30, saw members unanimously back his continued leadership.

A statement released by the Rotary Club of Abuja Sapphire indicated that this choice underscores the members' trust in Dr. Oramah's leadership capabilities and the significant achievements recorded during his inaugural year. The statement explicitly noted, “In a historic first for the club, Dr Pat Oramah will continue in office following the expiration of his first term on June 30, 2026. The unanimous decision was a resounding vote of confidence in his visionary leadership.”

Under his guidance, the club significantly broadened its humanitarian outreach and garnered recognition within Rotary District 9127 for the profound impact of its various community service initiatives. Specifically, Abuja Sapphire was honored with the Area of Focus Excellence Award in Water, Sanitation and Hygiene from Rotary District 9127, acknowledging its projects that brought tangible benefits to local communities. Furthermore, the club earned special commendation for its active participation and contributions to Rotary programs and activities throughout the past Rotary year.

The statement further elaborated, “Within just one year, Dr Oramah led the club to unprecedented heights. Under his stewardship, the club secured multiple awards and national recognition. Members widely described him as an extraordinary philanthropist and the best President in the history of Abuja Sapphire.” Outside of his Rotary commitments, Dr. Oramah holds the position of Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at Sepat Pharmaceuticals Company.

His significant investments in youth and sports development were also underscored, particularly through the Oramah Football Academy and the DECO Sports City, both located in Kaura, Abuja. These facilities, the statement noted, were established with the aim of cultivating young football talents, encouraging sports engagement, and fostering healthy lifestyles.

Moreover, the statement revealed that Dr. Oramah, who is also a Paul Harris Fellow, received recognition during the Rotary year for being the second-highest individual contributor to both The Rotary Foundation and Rotary District 9127. The statement concluded by saying, “In further testament to his commitment to service, Oramah was recognised as the second-highest individual donor to both The Rotary Foundation and Rotary District 9127 for the Rotary year.”
