NIPR Hails FRSC's Digital Leap, Pushes for Deeper Collaboration

The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has lauded the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) for its significant operational transformation, driven by strategic reforms and extensive digitisation initiatives. This commendation was extended during a recent courtesy visit by Dr. Ike Neliaku, President and Chairman of Council for the NIPR, to the FRSC Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, in Abuja. Details of this visit were officially released in a statement on Thursday by Osondu Ohaeri, the Corps Public Education Officer.
Leading the NIPR delegation, Dr. Neliaku highlighted the Corps' accomplishments as a testament to visionary leadership, innovative approaches, and an unwavering dedication to public service excellence. He specifically commended the FRSC's digital overhaul, noting that these technological advancements have considerably boosted operational efficiency, streamlined service delivery, and enhanced the institution's overall effectiveness. According to Dr. Neliaku, these reforms have also been instrumental in building public trust and solidifying the Corps' standing as a modern and responsive government agency.
Dr. Neliaku further praised Corps Marshal Mohammed for spearheading strategic initiatives that have successfully repositioned the FRSC and strengthened its capacity to provide safer road transport services across the nation. He quoted, "The achievements recorded by the Corps clearly demonstrate visionary leadership, innovation and commitment to service excellence." He further elaborated that these sustained reforms have established a robust foundation for improved institutional performance and more effective public engagement.
Reaffirming the institute's dedication, the NIPR president pledged continued support for the FRSC through various professional training, executive development, and capacity-building programmes. He stated that this collaboration is expected to bolster the Corps' ongoing transformation agenda while fostering professionalism, upholding ethical standards, and ensuring effective communication at all levels of operation.
In his response, Corps Marshal Mohammed extended his appreciation to the NIPR leadership for acknowledging the Corps' progress and expressing confidence in its reform initiatives. He articulated that professionalism, continuous learning, and strategic communication are core to his administration's objective of establishing a more responsive road safety institution. Mohammed reiterated, "Professionalism, continuous learning and strategic communication remain fundamental pillars of our vision for a more responsive and globally respected road safety institution."
The Corps Marshal characterised the proposed partnership as a strategic investment in the organisation's human capital and institutional growth. He explained that this initiative would equip FRSC personnel with the requisite knowledge, skills, and ethical orientation needed to effectively tackle evolving challenges in public service. Mohammed emphasised that enhancing staff competencies would significantly boost operational excellence and ensure the Corps remains adaptable to changing national and global expectations.
Concluding the meeting, both organisations reached an agreement to establish a strategic framework designed for sustained collaboration on initiatives that offer mutual benefits. This framework will prioritise staff training, professional certification, knowledge exchange, and other programmes aimed at deepening institutional excellence and advancing effective public service delivery.
