As part of efforts to boost development in Ekiti State, Vice President Kashim Shettima is scheduled to embark on a one-day working visit to the state on Tuesday. According to Yinka Oyebode, the Special Adviser on Media to Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, the Vice President's visit will focus on the inauguration of several key projects. Upon arrival at the Ekiti Agro Allied International Cargo Airport, Ado Ekiti, Oyebanji will lead top state officials to receive Shettima, who will be representing President Bola Tinubu. The Vice President's itinerary includes the groundbreaking ceremony for the Ekiti Knowledge Zone, as well as the inauguration of the newly built Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission located along old Iyin Road, Ado-Ekiti. Additionally, Shettima will commission the newly constructed 1.2 kilometres Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Flyover, a legacy project of the Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji administration, situated at Okeyinmi in Ado Ekiti. This visit marks Shettima's second official trip to Ekiti State, following his previous visit in May 2024, where he inaugurated the Omisanjana- Deeper Life- Ajebandele Road and the MSMSE clinic in Ado-Ekiti. The state government has made adequate arrangements to ensure the Vice President's visit is a memorable one, highlighting the administration's commitment to strategic collaboration with the Federal Government, sub-national governments, institutions, and the private sector. This collaborative approach remains a cornerstone of the Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji administration's development agenda.
