The All Progressives Congress (APC) has postponed the Adamawa Central Senatorial District primary election earlier scheduled to hold in Adamawa State, announcing that the exercise will now take place on Saturday, May 23, 2026. The party disclosed this in a statement issued on Friday in Abuja by its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, who urged all aspirants, party officials, delegates, and stakeholders involved in the process to take note of the adjustment and comply fully with the party’s guidelines for the conduct of the primary. Although the APC did not state reasons for the rescheduling, the party stressed the need for a transparent, credible, orderly, and peaceful exercise, noting that adherence to laid-down procedures remains essential to ensuring the integrity of the process. The rescheduled primary is expected to determine the party’s candidate for the Adamawa Central Senatorial District ahead of the forthcoming electoral contest.
