Trump Plans Grand July 4 Celebration in Washington

United States President Donald Trump has unveiled plans to host a major event in Washington on July 4, commemorating the country's 250th anniversary. This announcement comes in addition to a concert scheduled for June 24. Trump had earlier described the June 24 event as the 'Greatest Rally, EVER!… A Rally to end all Rallies!' and promised performances by military bands and some of his favorite singers. However, after several artists pulled out of a 250th anniversary concert series in the US capital, citing the event's politicized nature, Trump decided to organize the new July 4 event. The 'TRIBUTE TO AMERICA' event will take place at the Washington Monument and the Lincoln Memorial, with Trump personally involved in the renovation of the Lincoln Memorial's reflecting pool. In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump stated, 'Starting at 7 P.M. EST, this HUGE Celebration will honor our Country’s People, Spirit, Strength, Resolve, and Triumphs.' He also promised 'incredible Flyovers and Airshows featuring our Top Military Pilots and Equipment,' and announced that he will deliver keynote remarks. The event will conclude with a traditional fireworks display, which Trump claimed will be 'the LARGEST FIREWORKS SHOW IN HISTORY.' Trump also hyped up the June 24 event, describing it as the 'kick off' of the summer-long celebration, with military bands performing 'ONLY THE HITS THAT YOU KNOW AND LOVE!' and tenor Christopher Macchio and Lee Greenwood singing. The event will feature 'impressive Military flyovers featuring precision Fighter Jets and Stealth Bombers, which will be flown by our U.S. Military Pilots, who have proven to be the most Elite Pilots anywhere in the World,' according to Trump. The Republican billionaire has made efforts to leave his mark on America's 250th birthday, including hosting a mixed martial arts fight on the White House lawn on June 14, which coincides with his 80th birthday.
