Daniel Nanle, a resident from Kawel community in Mushere District, Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State, has shared a harrowing account of how his younger sister was brutally murdered by armed assailants during an assault on a local Primary Health Centre. According to reports from LIB, the gunmen launched their deadly attack on the community late Sunday night, catching residents unawares as they slept. The violence resulted in the deaths of 22 individuals, including medical personnel, security operatives, and patients who were receiving care at the health facility.

During a recent visit by the state's Deputy Governor, Ngo Josephine Chundung Piyo, to extend condolences to the affected families, Nanle spoke with Daily Trust. He detailed how his sister, Larai Danjuma, had been rushed to the hospital because she was in labour and preparing to give birth. Upon their arrival at the facility, Larai was taken to the labour room for delivery. Tragically, it was at this critical moment that the attackers stormed the room, ending her life along with other patients and healthcare workers present.

“My immediate sister was married to Mr. Danjuma Damial. She was taken to the hospital because she was due for delivery. Unfortunately, the attackers came and k!lled her,” Nanle recounted, his voice heavy with grief. He concluded his statement by making an earnest appeal to both state and federal governments, urging them to implement immediate measures to prevent such devastating attacks from recurring in the future. “I am appealing to the state government and the Federal Government to intervene,” he pleaded.
