Kwara Community Mourns As Monarch Dies In Captivity Despite N21 Million Ransom Payment

This devastating news comes after his abductors had received a substantial ransom package, consisting of ₦21 million in cash, two brand new motorcycles, and a jerry can of petrol, as part of the conditions for his release. The monarch's death was confirmed through an emotional voice message by a member of the committee that was working tirelessly to secure his freedom. The committee member, in the voice message, expressed that despite the extensive efforts made by the community, including family members, residents, and religious leaders, the will of God had prevailed. Quoting from the Holy Qur'an, the member emphasized the inevitability of death and the importance of accepting God's will. The voice message served as an announcement to the Olayinka community, informing them of the monarch's passing and encouraging them to accept their fate. The community had been engaged in negotiations with the kidnappers for the safe return of their ruler, who was abducted about a month ago.
