Lagos, Nigeria — Afrobeat musician and activist Seun Kuti has called on Nigerians to halt all economic activities and launch a unified national strike rather than relying on online protests.Kuti questioned the effectiveness of making videos and addressing President Bola Tinubu online, labeling the current approach as ineffective. He urged bank workers, civil servants, and all other non-essential employees nationwide to stop working immediately to demonstrate a completely unified front. Under his proposed shutdown, only essential sectors—such as hospitals and medical services—would remain operational.
