Huge Protests Rock Ibadan Over Oriire LGA School KidnappingsA massive wave of demonstrations hit Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, on June 1, 2026, as civil society groups, teachers, and the Take-It-Back (TIB) Movement demanded the immediate rescue of abducted pupils and educators. The victims were violently kidnapped on May 15, 2026, when motorcycle-riding bandits raided three schools in the Ogbomoso axis of Oriire Local Government Area.
