The victims were violently kidnapped on May 15, 2026, when motorcycle-riding bandits raided three schools in the Ogbomoso axis of Oriire Local Government Area. The targeted institutions include Community Grammar/High School, Baptist Nursery and Primary School, and L.A. Primary School. Local sources report that up to 46 people, including a two-year-old toddler, are still missing.
