UK Drowning Incident Claims Six-Year-Old, Entire British-Palestinian Family

Full Story
UK police have confirmed the passing of a six-year-old girl, Saja El-Khawas, in a hospital, following a devastating seaside drowning incident that had previously claimed her parents and sister. Saja, a member of a British-Palestinian family, had been receiving critical care since the tragic event occurred on Tuesday at Shoreham, located on England's southern coast. Her death was reported on Friday.
Emergency responders had recovered her father, mother, and 14-year-old sister from the sea, all of whom were pronounced deceased at the scene. The father was identified as a Palestinian refugee originating from Lebanon's Rashidieh Camp. It is understood that the family had journeyed to Shoreham beach from their residence in London.
Sussex Police released a statement late on Friday, indicating that their investigation, which included a review of CCTV surveillance and witness accounts, concluded the deaths were the outcome of a “tragic accident”.
According to the Palestinian Forum in Britain, the family held British citizenship but were of Palestinian heritage, with their ancestral ties tracing back to the Rashidieh refugee camp situated in Lebanon.
