Akwa Ibom IPAC Boss Lauds Governor Eno's Legacy Projects: CNG Buses, New Hospital

The Akwa Ibom State chapter of the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC), through its Chairman, Hon. Blessing Umo, has expressed strong commendation for Governor Umo Eno. Her praise comes following the recent launch of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) mass transit buses and the inauguration of a 350-bed hospital, projects she described as lasting contributions for upcoming generations.
Umo conveyed these sentiments to journalists on Friday in Uyo, after participating in the July State Projects Delivery Meeting at the Banquet Hall, Government House, Uyo. During this meeting, Governor Eno detailed significant accomplishments and ongoing initiatives across various critical sectors, notably the unveiling of the Ibom International Hospital with its 350-bed capacity and the deployment of 20 CNG buses.
Hon. Umo highlighted that both the introduction of the CNG buses and the Ibom International Hospital scheme demonstrate a government operating with innovation, strategic vision, and a firm resolve to elevate citizens' quality of life. She further asserted that Governor Eno has, through these actions, reaffirmed that sustainable progress is built upon thoughtful investments in areas that provide enduring benefits to the populace.
The IPAC Chairman specifically pointed out that the CNG mass transit programme marks a significant achievement in Akwa Ibom's pursuit of contemporary, economical, and eco-friendly transport solutions. She explained that this initiative would alleviate transportation difficulties and align the state with international clean energy benchmarks. "The introduction of CNG buses extends beyond merely expanding our transport infrastructure; it signifies an embrace of innovation, a reduction in transit expenses, a commitment to environmental preservation, and the establishment of Akwa Ibom as a frontrunner in clean energy mobility," she quoted.
Delving deeper into the Ibom International Hospital, the IPAC Chairman characterized it as a courageous and well-planned investment poised to dramatically enhance healthcare services within Akwa Ibom State and the broader region. She remarked, "This particular project was conceptualized with an eye on future generations. These are permanent investments that will continue to benefit our citizens long after current political discussions have become history. Governor Umo Eno is establishing a robust base for an Akwa Ibom State that is healthier, more thriving, and economically competitive."
Finally, Umo urged all Akwa Ibom indigenes, irrespective of their political leanings, to back efforts that foster collective advancement, emphasizing that genuine development should always rise above partisan concerns.
