Tochi had previously advised former participants of the reality show, especially those grappling with financial challenges, to abandon the 'celebrity' mindset and instead focus on genuine hustling.

Responding to Tochi's widely circulated social media post, Phyna expressed her long-held skepticism regarding the expectation for BBNaija stars to merely embrace a 'celebrity' title while passively awaiting brand endorsement deals. She emphatically stated, 'Finally someone said it. I thought they said we are stars and them dey build brand, and that you have to just carry celebrity on your head and wait for one brand deal.'

Furthermore, Phyna voiced her disapproval of the societal pressure that often evaluates a BBNaija star's success based solely on the quantity and perceived value of brand partnerships they secure.
