Erigga Confronts Davido Over 'Family Money' Musicians Debate

Full Story
Nigerian rapper Erigga has issued a strong retort to Afrobeats superstar Davido, following Davido's critical remarks regarding Erigga's earlier statement about artists from less privileged backgrounds. The verbal exchange began when Erigga extended commendation to musicians who achieved success "out the mud" without relying on familial wealth.
Davido quickly reacted to Erigga's initial post, taking a jibe at the rapper. The 'Omo Baba Olowo' crooner suggested that Erigga should also acknowledge "the ones that came from family money and still grind to the top," subsequently labeling Erigga's stance as "useless."
In his latest response, Erigga implied that Davido's reaction to his original post was disproportionate and unwarranted. He questioned Davido's sudden outrage, writing, “Na shoutout to the ones when get it out the mud without family money dey make David crash out? From where to where??” Erigga further pressed the issue in a separate update, sarcastically challenging Davido: “Big man pikin dey cry say poor men children de hail dem self??? Motivate your self naw. Ambassador of RICH KIDS.”
