Laide Bakare Explains Dance Video Backlash, Honours Late Taiwo Hassan Ogogo

Full Story
Nollywood actress Laide Bakare has issued an apology and paid homage to the recently deceased veteran actor, Taiwo Hassan, widely recognized as Ogogo. This development follows significant online criticism directed at her after she posted a dancing video shortly after the news of Ogogo's passing broke.
In a video addressing the public outcry, Ms. Bakare clarified that she had just returned from a movie premiere and was completely unaware that the controversial video had been extensively shared and tagged across social media platforms. She further explained that her mobile phone had been out of her possession for a period, contributing to her lack of awareness. The actress implored the public to refrain from passing judgment without fully understanding the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Referring to the day of Ogogo's death as a "dark Sunday," Laide Bakare conveyed her profound sorrow over the veteran actor’s demise. She appealed to individuals to exercise caution and mindfulness in their statements during this sensitive and grieving period.
