TimeBender Fest 4.0 Unveils Young Talents in Port Harcourt

The city of Port Harcourt was abuzz with creative energy as the fourth edition of TimeBender Fest took place on Saturday. The event, organised by Amaranthine Media, was a celebration of Children's Day, featuring a plethora of activities including games, dance battles, and interactive experiences. At the heart of the festival was the Talent Discovery Competition, which saw nine finalists compete for cash prizes after an online selection process. The competition was a vibrant display of creativity and confidence, with performances ranging from acrobatics and dance to saxophone performances, science demonstrations, and spoken word. Wonder of God Emmanuel, a young saxophonist, emerged as the overall winner, taking home a cash prize of ₦200,000. Runners-up Precious Godwin and Ihechi Okorie also received financial support through the Children's Creative Grant, an initiative of Amaranthine Media and the TimeBender Tribe aimed at nurturing the talents of gifted children. According to Jennifer Nkem-Eneanya, Convener and Curator of TimeBender Fest, the festival is designed to inspire and empower children through creativity. 'Every year, we are reminded that children are not waiting to become creative; they are already creative,' she said. 'What they need is a safe, joyful, and supportive platform that tells them: we see you, we believe in you, and your gifts matter.' The event also featured a marketplace where families could explore child-friendly products, books, and learning materials. The TimeBender Fest 4.0 reinforced the vision of the TimeBender Tribe, a community committed to combining learning with joy through wholesome African family entertainment.
