The Ghanaian entertainment industry has been thrown into a state of mourning following the sudden passing of popular actress and media personality, Beverly Afaglo. Her husband, Eugene Kwadwo Baah, also known as Choirmaster of the renowned Hiplife music group, Praye, took to social media on Sunday, May 24, 2026, to announce her untimely death. The cause of her death remains unknown. In a heartfelt tribute, Choirmaster expressed his deep sorrow and grief, describing Beverly as the foundation of his life and happiness. 'My heart is shattered beyond words over the death of my beloved wife Beverly Afaglo,' he wrote. 'It would have been just four more days to your birthday, but I guess the Lord wanted to celebrate with you, so He called you.' 'You were my strength, my happiness, and the reason my life felt complete. Every moment with you was a blessing I will cherish forever.' He also mentioned that her presence still lingers with him, saying, 'I am hearing your voice right now, cheering me up as always, my number one fan. I promise to take care and continue everything we planned and started. Until my last breath, you will remain in my heart forever. Sleep well my baby.' The grieving husband further described her as a 'legend,' noting that her passing marks a dark day not only for him but for many who knew and admired her. In an interview, Praye Tietia, a member of the Praye music group, confirmed that the actress had been unwell for several weeks, with hopes that she would recover. He added that the family of the late actress would issue an official statement on her passing. Born on May 28, 1983, Beverly Afaglo was widely known for her roles in several Ghanaian films and television productions. She appeared in numerous movies, including Return of Beyonce, Crime to Christ, Girls Connection, Prince's Bride, Never Again, Turn Me On, The Game, and Single Six. Her other film credits include Equatorial Escape, Secret Burden, The King's Bride, Total Exchange, PlayBoy, Big Girls Club, CEO, and About to Wed. Beverly Afaglo's sudden demise has left a void in the Ghanaian entertainment scene, and she will be deeply missed by her fans and colleagues.
