The internet personality departed the country in November 2024, following a notable disagreement with the Federal government. This dispute stemmed from claims surrounding his prison sentence, specifically allegations that he did not complete his full term after being convicted for the abuse of the Nigerian currency.

In a recent update shared on his Instagram page, Bobrisky reflected on his move, affirming once again that his exit from Nigeria was, in hindsight, one of the best decisions of his life. He described Nigeria as an intensely "toxic environment," characterized by an incessant flow of "drama, gossip or fight" occurring daily.
