Nigerian Troops Engage Boko Haram in Yobe, One Neutralised, Another Captured

Nigerian military personnel, operating under Operation HADIN KAI, in collaboration with the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), successfully engaged Boko Haram terr*rists in Yobe State. The operation, which took place in Abakuradi Village, located within the Geidam Local Government Area, resulted in the elimination of one Boko Haram fighter and the apprehension of another.
According to security sources who spoke to Zagazola Makama, the coordinated assault commenced around 12:05 p.m. on Monday, October 5, 2026. This action followed the receipt of credible intelligence regarding the movement of Boko Haram elements within the vicinity.
Upon receiving the tip-off, the troops swiftly deployed to the identified location, where they subsequently made contact with the terr*rist group. During the ensuing confrontation, one Boko Haram combatant was killed, while another was taken into custody alive. Reports indicate that several other terr*rists managed to flee the scene, sustaining various degrees of injuries in the process.
From the fleeing insurgents, the joint forces recovered an AK-47 rifle and a single magazine. The captured suspect is currently undergoing interrogation as part of further investigations. Meanwhile, efforts are ongoing by the troops to track down and apprehend the terr*rists who escaped with injuries.
