Suspected Cable Thief Electrocuted at Abuja Transformer Site

A tragic incident unfolded on Trademore Road, Lugbe, Abuja, where a man met his demise from suspected electrocution. It is believed that the individual was attempting to sever cables from a transformer when the power supply was unexpectedly restored, leading to his death. His lifeless body was discovered within the transformer's enclosure during the early hours of Friday, August 21. The incident was confirmed by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, who stated that the deceased's remains have been evacuated from the scene. The body has since been transported to the mortuary at Gwagwalada, where an autopsy will be conducted to ascertain the precise cause of death.
