FCT Police Boss Sanusi Slams Extortion by Officers, Labels Them 'Thieves'

Ahmed Muhammed Sanusi, the Commissioner of Police for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has issued a stern warning to police personnel serving in Abuja against engaging in extortion. While addressing officers within the command, CP Sanusi emphatically stated that any illicit activities targeting commercial tricycle (Keke) operators, motorists, and other road users would not be tolerated.
The police chief made his stance unequivocally clear, declaring, "You cannot be both a police officer and a thief. We don't want to hear any reports of extorting Keke riders or motorists in Abuja. If we hear it, you are a thief." This strong statement underscores the FCT command's commitment to eradicating corrupt practices among its ranks within the nation's capital.
