Katie Price's Hubby Lee Andrews Detained in Dubai Over Unspecified Charges

The husband of British model Katie Price, Lee Andrews, has been taken into custody by Dubai authorities, according to recent reports. This development comes after Andrews was reported missing in the United Arab Emirates, prompting concerns from his family and Price. A missing person report was filed, and now, it has been revealed that Andrews is being held in a Dubai prison. Although the exact charges against him have not been made public, his father, Peter Andrews, has confirmed that his son is under arrest. In a statement to the Daily Mail, Peter Andrews said, 'He has not been kidnapped but he is under arrest. I don’t know on what charge.' He added that he was unsure of the location where his son was being held but expected to receive a call from him later. A police source also confirmed the arrest, stating, 'Lee Andrews has been arrested.' This is not the first time Andrews has faced controversy, as he has previously been involved in several disputes surrounding his business dealings and personal life. He had presented himself as the chief executive of a company called Aura Group Future Urban Travel 2027 and claimed to be involved with 'SpaceX Hybrid Fitness.' However, these claims were later questioned, with reports suggesting that some images of him with high-profile celebrities may have been generated using artificial intelligence. Andrews had also been restricted from leaving Dubai due to an ongoing legal matter related to alleged fraud involving a mortgage taken out in an ex-partner’s name without her knowledge. UAE authorities typically prohibit individuals facing criminal investigations from leaving the country. Despite denying any travel issues, Price later confirmed that Andrews had been subjected to a travel ban without publicly explaining the reason. The businessman has also faced accusations from former partners, with one ex-girlfriend describing him as a 'liar, narcissist and manipulator.' Another former partner referred to him as the 'Tinder Swindler' and claimed that several women had contacted her, accusing him of attempting to scam them financially. Earlier this week, Price expressed concerns that Andrews may have been kidnapped after losing contact with him. In a YouTube video, she shared the last messages she received from him before his disappearance. Price stated, 'Lee has been missing for three days. The last time I heard from Lee was Wednesday night at 10 o’clock.' She revealed that Andrews was trying to travel through the border in Dubai to board a flight to her. Price also mentioned that his location was last active at 10:03 Wednesday night, which was the last contact anyone had with him. The former glamour model later stated that authorities, including British police, the British consulate, the Foreign Office, and Interpol, had become involved in efforts to locate him. Now, reports suggest that Andrews’ disappearance may have been linked to his arrest and detention in Dubai rather than an abduction.
