Popular Nigerian rapper, Tochukwu Ojogwu, widely recognized as Odumodublvck, recently stirred conversation by asserting that any man who states he would not make the ultimate sacrifice for his partner is a "fool." He emphasized that men are expected to demonstrate sacrificial love towards their wives.

Odumodublvck shared these strong opinions during an appearance on the In Motion Podcast, which was uploaded to YouTube on Friday. The rapper also touched upon his well-publicized disagreement with fellow artist Blaqbonez during the session.

Expressing his perspective on romantic relationships, Odumodublvck stated in pidgin, “Any man wey talk say he no fit die for him woman na fool!” He elaborated on his stance from a Christian viewpoint, explaining, “Because me now, I’m a Christian. See, this is my power. And Jesus said, Christ said we should love our wife like Christ loved the church. And what did Christ do for the church? He died for the church.”

Furthermore, the rapper indicated his expectation to pass away before his wife, citing her younger age. “I’m probably going to die before my wife, in Jesus’ name. Amen… Why should my wife die before me? When she’s younger than me? Doesn’t make any sense. I should die before my wife,” he affirmed.

Odumodublvck articulated his belief that, upon his passing, his wife would be responsible for managing their assets and distributing them among their children, thereby preventing disputes. He added, “And when I die, it’s my wife that will now take everything and distribute to my children so there will not be wahala. So it’s my wife that will continue whatever it is that I started.”

The artist also connected his approach to women with his upbringing, noting that his mother’s generous nature influenced his financial habits. He recounted, “Like me now, my mom is a cheerful giver. If you give me one million Naira now, before you know it, I’ve sent it to ten people. I don’t know how to hold money. So my girlfriend will be holding my money for me.”

He drew an analogy between the significance of women and the queen piece in chess. “So if you don’t understand the concept of loving a woman and putting a woman where a woman is meant to be. Like if you look at chess, the strongest piece on the board is the queen,” he explained, concluding, “If the queen goes, just forget that game. Forget the game. The king is exposed.”

Odumodublvck also took the opportunity to address accusations of being a misogynist, dismissing the label as an unjust misunderstanding. “They think I’m a misogynist,” he admitted. When asked if this perception troubled him, he responded, “It bothers me a lot. A whole lot. Because it’s such an unfair thing to say.” He then challenged the notion, questioning how someone prepared to die for his partner could be considered a misogynist: “Okay, now I want to die for my girlfriend. Will a misogynist die for his woman?”
