Edo State 'Ban' on Davido: Isreal DMW Takes on Governor's Aide

Singer Davido's aide, Isreal Afeare, popularly known as Isreal DMW, has strongly refuted claims made by Kassy Chukwu, an aide to Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo, regarding a purported ban on the music star from the state. The controversy erupted after Chukwu, in a recently circulated video, declared that Davido was prohibited from performing in Edo State.

Chukwu's statement cited alleged repeated insults directed at the governor as the reason for the ban. Furthermore, the gubernatorial aide issued a stern warning, threatening that local youths would confront Davido if he attempted to stage any performance within the state.

Responding to these assertions, Isreal DMW, who is an indigene of Edo State, vehemently dismissed the ban. He asserted that no individual could prevent his boss from entering the state, emphasizing that Edo is Davido's maternal home. Isreal DMW then directly addressed Kassy Chukwu, stating:
