Joe Igbokwe Warns Ladipo Traders After Encounter

A visit by All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Joe Igbokwe, to the Ladipo market in Lagos took an unexpected turn when traders, mostly of Igbo extraction, taunted him. This incident occurred on June 5 as Igbokwe had gone to the market to purchase spare parts for his vehicle. Videos circulating online showed the traders booing and insulting him, with some reports on social media claiming he was physically assaulted. However, in a video he shared, Igbokwe denied being beaten, stating that if the traders had indeed attacked him, there would have been severe consequences, including the potential closure of the market for up to a year. He emphasized that such behavior would not be tolerated in Lagos, distinguishing it from the South East. Igbokwe's experience at the market has sparked significant discussion, with many reacting to the videos and reports of the incident.
