U.S, Nigeria Army Joint operation targeted a significant presence of ISIS fighters in Northeastern Nigeria eliminating multiple high value individuals including Abu-Bilal al-Minuki.
The United States Africa Command, AFRICOM, has released the video of the operation which eliminated world’s most wanted terrorist hiding in Nigeria and second in command of ISIS, Abu-Bilal al-Minuki.
In a caption on the video, the command stated, “Last night’s operation targeted a significant presence of ISIS fighters in Northeastern Nigeria, eliminating multiple high-value individuals, including Abu-Bilal al-Minuki.”
DAILY POST had reported that United States President Donald Trump had announced that American forces, in collaboration with the Nigerian Armed Forces, carried out a joint military operation that resulted in the killing of Abu-Bilal al-Minuki, identified as the second-in-command of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, ISIS, worldwide
In a statement posted on his Truth Social account on Saturday, Trump said the operation was the outcome of extensive intelligence gathering and strategic coordination aimed at tracking the activities of the terrorist leader in Africa.
Also confirming the incident, President Tinubu described the overnight operation as a “significant example of effective collaboration” between both countries in the fight against terrorism.
