Canada's Ismaël Koné Suffers Gruesome Leg Injury in World Cup Match Against Qatar

A horrific injury occurred during the World Cup Group B match between Canada and Qatar in Vancouver, as Canada's 24-year-old midfielder Ismaël Koné was stretchered off the field with a serious leg injury. The incident happened in the 55th minute when Qatar midfielder Assim Madibo made a reckless challenge on Koné, leaving him clutching his left leg in agony. Canada boss Jesse Marsch was furious with the tackle, and Madibo eventually received a red card for the challenge. As Koné was being carried off the field, he was given oxygen to help manage the pain, and Canada's assistant manager was heard saying, 'His leg's hanging off,' and 'His leg is broken, man.' The injury was so severe that it left Koné's teammates in tears, with one of them, Richie Laryea, almost losing control of himself after seeing the severity of the injury.
