Toure's coaching career has seen him work as an assistant at several clubs, including Olimpik Donetsk in Ukraine, Akhmat Grozny in Russia, Standard Liege in Belgium, and the Saudi Arabian national team, where he worked alongside Roberto Mancini. The appointment of Yaya Toure has been hailed by the club's chairman, Ivan Kmotrik Jr., who described it as the beginning of a new era for the 24-time Nike Liga winners. Kmotrik Jr. expressed his pleasure at securing Toure's services, saying, 'I am very pleased that Yaya Toure is our new head coach. Toure replaces the popular manager Vladimir Weiss, who took over as Slovakia boss, after impressing the club's management with an outstanding video interview.
