Governor Alex Otti Steps in to Support Ailing Nollywood Actress Ngozi Nwosu

In a demonstration of support for the Nigerian entertainment industry, Abia State Governor Alex Otti has come to the aid of veteran actress Ngozi Nwosu, who has been facing significant medical expenses. The 62-year-old actress had recently made a public appeal for financial assistance to cover the costs of three urgent surgeries, amounting to ₦30 million, after being hospitalised for three weeks. In response to her plea, Governor Otti, through his Senior Special Assistant on Tourism and Entertainment, Martins Justice, announced the approval of the first phase of payment for Nwosu's medical bills. While this intervention covers only a portion of her medical expenses, it marks a significant gesture of support from the state government. Martins Justice expressed gratitude towards Governor Otti for his timely intervention but also appealed to the public for continued assistance to help Nwosu cover the remaining costs of her medical treatment.
