Peter Obi Accuses Federal Government of Obstructing His 2027 Election Bid

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has raised alarms, asserting that the Federal Government is employing every available tactic to ensure he does not contest the 2027 presidential election. These significant claims surfaced mere hours after the Federal High Court in Lokoja vacated its previous judgment, which had directed the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to officially register the NDC as a political party.
While on a visit to Madonna University in Anambra State this afternoon, Mr. Obi directly addressed the situation. He unequivocally stated, “Today, the Federal Government is doing everything possible to stop me from becoming a candidate in this 2027 election. I can tell you for a fact, they won’t win.” He reiterated this declaration, expressing strong conviction that despite these alleged governmental efforts, he would ultimately prevail.
