US Intel Aid to Ukraine Continues, Rubio Dismisses Pause Claims

Full Story
On Monday, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio refuted allegations of any halt in intelligence collaboration with Ukraine. He further urged Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to concentrate efforts on bringing an end to the ongoing conflict with Russia.
When questioned by journalists regarding Ukraine’s assertions that the United States had briefly ceased transmitting intelligence crucial for countering Russia’s missile assaults, Rubio firmly stated, "There has been no pause." This statement came after the Ukrainian leader had reportedly informed US media on Sunday that the intelligence flow had been "deblocked by the American side" following a three-day suspension.
Rubio, who is currently in Uzbekistan for discussions with Central Asian officials, highlighted that President Donald Trump desires for both Zelensky and Russian President Vladimir Putin to prioritise concluding the Russian invasion, which is now in its fifth year. "What he (Zelensky) should be focused on and what we want to be focused on is bringing an end to this war," Rubio emphasised.
Elaborating on the broader objective, the top US diplomat further stated, "That’s what we want everybody to be focused on. That’s what we want the Russians to be focused on. That’s what we should be focused on. That’s what the president has made a priority: trying to bring a war and an end to this war."
In recent days, Trump, who has previously claimed to have negotiated a deal with Russia to secure fuel exports in exchange for relaxed sanctions, has intensified his criticisms of Zelensky concerning the war. On Sunday, the US leader posted on his Truth Social platform, asserting "great progress" in brokering peace between Russia and Ukraine. However, he simultaneously claimed, "Zelenskyy doesn’t care, and frankly, with all of the money that Europe is famously giving him… he doesn’t want to end this war, and probably never did."
Trump also accused the Ukrainian President, stating, "Zelenskyy is using Diesel Refineries in Russia as a target, knowing that these attacks are seriously hurting the world diesel markets, including those in the United States."
