The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has called on the Lagos State government to take drastic measures to combat the rising insecurity in the state. He specifically urged the government to ban the operations of commercial motorcyclists, popularly known as Okada, across the state. Primate Ayodele stated that the government should apprehend Okada riders involved in nefarious activities and sentence them to 30 years imprisonment as a measure to curtail insecurity. He warned that terrorists are now lurking around Lagos State, waiting to strike, and that they prefer to use Okada to carry out their nefarious activities. Addressing his members in a video posted on social media, the popular prophet emphasized the need for the government to take immediate action to prevent the terrorists from carrying out their evil plans. According to Primate Ayodele, 'Security alert for Lagos State government, ban Okada in every area of the state. If you don’t ban Okada riders, they will injure Lagos State.' He also advised the government to ban beggars, wheelbarrow pushers, and people pretending to be mad, as they could pose a threat to the state's security. Primate Ayodele further warned that if the government fails to take action, the terrorists will start operating in Ogun State, thereby creating tension everywhere. He emphasized the need for the government to have a task force that will ban Okada and arrest any Okada rider, sentencing them to 30 years imprisonment, except for official riders like those carrying parcels.
