Solomon Buchi Reports Peller to UK Police; Streamer Rejects Defamation Accusations

Full Story
Popular Nigerian streamer, Peller, has addressed the defamation complaint lodged against him by fellow content creator Solomon Buchi. The incident unfolded on Saturday, September 5, 2026, when Buchi formally reported Peller to the UK Metropolitan Police following claims made by the streamer on social media.
The controversy stems from Peller's live streaming session, conducted while he was visiting the United Kingdom. During the broadcast, Peller alleged that a certain "Buchi" was involved in an illicit affair with a married woman. Peller stated, "Mr Buchi, I have heard your story. Mr Buchi is not a good person, guys. He went to sleep with someone's wife. Someone told me that story."
Solomon Buchi, a known critic of Peller’s content style, interpreted these remarks as being directed at him. He subsequently issued a public statement, detailing the severe impact the accusations had on his mental well-being, which he claimed led to a medically documented nervous breakdown.
However, Peller has since refuted Buchi's interpretation, clarifying that his comments were aimed at a different individual, who also happens to bear the name "Buchi" and is a fan. In his response, Peller pointedly told Solomon Buchi, "You aren't the only one bearing Buchi," implying that the complaint was misdirected. The streamer also shared videos to support his clarification.
