N160m Up for Grabs as BBNaija Season 11 Takes Centre Stage

Africa's most popular reality television show, Big Brother Naija, is set to kick off its eleventh season on Sunday, July 26, 2026, with a staggering grand prize of ₦160 million. The announcement was made by MultiChoice Nigeria, the organisers of the show, who revealed that the new season would debut with a record-breaking grand prize, the highest since the show's inception in 2006. Viewers can catch the launch show on Africa Magic Showcase and Africa Magic Family from 7 pm, while the 24-hour live broadcast will be available on DStv Channel 198 and GOtv Channel 49. The show can also be streamed live on DStv Stream and GOtv Stream. The winner of this year's edition will take home a grand prize comprising ₦100 million in cash and a brand-new SUV, amounting to a total prize value of ₦160 million. Speaking ahead of the new season, Atinuke Babatunde, Executive Head of Content and Channels, West Africa, MultiChoice, stated that the show would build on its legacy with bigger surprises. 'Big Brother Naija has consistently redefined entertainment in Africa by bringing together authentic storytelling, compelling personalities, and moments that resonate with millions of viewers. Season 11 builds on that legacy with even bigger stakes, fresh twists, and an exciting mix of housemates that will keep audiences engaged from premiere night through to the finale,' she said. The preparations for the new season began earlier this year with physical auditions held from May 22 to 24 in Lagos, Abuja, and Enugu, after shortlisted applicants were invited. Participation was free and open only to Nigerians aged 21 and above with valid means of identification. Ebuka Obi-Uchendu will return as the host of the show, overseeing another season expected to feature strategic gameplay, challenging tasks, unexpected twists, and dramatic interactions among the housemates. The new season follows the success of BBNaija Season 10, which ended on October 5, 2025, with Opeyemi Ayanwale, popularly known as Imisi, defeating 28 other contestants to win a prize package worth ₦150 million, including ₦80 million in cash and an SUV. Eligible DStv and GOtv subscribers will be able to vote for their favourite housemates through the MyDStv and MyGOtv self-service apps, with additional voting benefits available to customers who upgrade their subscription packages.
