Seyi Tinubu Gets Special Shoutout from DJ Chicken After Release

Nigerian social media personality, Ademola Abiodun, popularly known as DJ Chicken, has been making waves on the internet after his recent release from the Kirikiri Correctional Centre. The content creator, who was granted bail after meeting the conditions set by a Magistrate Court in the Ogba area of Lagos State, took to his Instagram page to express his gratitude to certain individuals who made his release possible. In a surprising turn of events, DJ Chicken changed his Instagram profile picture to that of Seyi Tinubu, the son of President Bola Tinubu, and also shared a photo of Seyi on his Instagram Stories with the caption, 'Hmm ddddy.' This move has sparked a lot of reactions from social media users, with many trying to decipher the meaning behind DJ Chicken's actions. It is worth noting that DJ Chicken's release came after he was arraigned on a three-count charge bordering on alleged violations of the Cybercrimes Act, breach of peace, and making alleged threats to kill Seyi Tinubu. The charges stemmed from a viral video in which he allegedly claimed that President Tinubu would not win re-election in 2027 and was accused of threatening the President's son. Despite retracting the remarks and insisting they were intended as a joke, DJ Chicken was arrested, arraigned, and granted bail of N1 million with two sureties in like sum. The case was adjourned until August 3, 2026. In a video announcing his freedom, DJ Chicken thanked Seyi Tinubu, saying, 'God bless the Nigerian government, God bless Seyi Tinubu, and our president. I love you guys. It is not easy, my fans. People that are free don't know what God has done for them. Freedom is good.' Human rights activist and Sahara Reporters publisher Omoyele Sowore also confirmed DJ Chicken's release on X, stating that the content creator had reunited with his family, friends, and loved ones.
