POLAC Unveils 13th Regular Course Screening Dates for Applicants

The Nigeria Police Academy, located in Wudil, Kano State, has formally extended an invitation to prospective candidates for its 13th Regular Course to participate in a crucial screening exercise. This comprehensive assessment is slated to commence on September 9, 2026.

Details of the invitation were released in a statement issued on Tuesday by DSP Umar Isah, the academy’s Police Public Relations Officer, acting on behalf of the Commandant, AIG Auwal Muhammad. According to the official communication, all applicants are required to print their examination slips within the period of August 25 to September 8.

The screening process itself is multi-faceted, encompassing a Computer-Based Test (CBT), a physical features assessment, medical screening, and a Selection Board interview. This entire exercise is scheduled to run from September 9 to September 18. The CBT component will be conducted in various batches, organized according to the candidates' states of origin.

For the first batch, scheduled for September 9, candidates from Abia, Adamawa, Akwa Ibom, Anambra, and Bauchi states are expected. The second batch, on September 10, will include applicants from Bauchi (Batch B), Bayelsa, Benue, Borno, Cross River, and Delta states. Ebonyi, Edo, Ekiti, Enugu, the Federal Capital Territory, Gombe, and Imo states will constitute the third batch, scheduled for September 11.

Candidates hailing from Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, and Katsina states will undertake their CBT on September 12, while those from Kebbi, Kogi, Kwara, Lagos, and Nasarawa states are slated for September 13. The sixth batch, on September 14, will feature applicants from Niger, Ogun, Ondo, and Osun states. Finally, Oyo, Plateau, Rivers, Sokoto, and Taraba states are scheduled for September 15, with Yobe and Zamfara states rounding off the CBT on September 16.

The academy has stipulated a list of essential documents candidates must present, both original and photocopies. These include their Primary School Leaving Certificate, SSCE result, JAMB result slip, birth certificate or declaration of age, LGA indigene certificate, a letter of identification, a properly completed and signed guarantor’s form, a medical certificate of fitness from a government hospital, NIN slip, four passport photographs, and the application acknowledgement slip.

Regarding attire, candidates are mandated to wear a white T-shirt, white shorts, white socks, and white canvas shoes throughout the exercise. Applicants are strongly advised to arrive at the academy a day prior to their scheduled examination dates, as accommodation will be provided within the academy premises for the duration of the screening. Importantly, parents or guardians will not be permitted entry into the academy during this period.

The statement further directed candidates to consult the official POLAC Admission Portal for any additional information and issued a stern warning against engaging with fraudulent social media accounts falsely representing the Nigeria Police Academy.
