Toke Makinwa Shares Early Concerns About Motherhood at Age 40

Popular media personality, Toke Makinwa, has opened up about her initial reservations regarding becoming a mother at forty, specifically the thought of being the oldest parent among her daughter's schoolmates. Makinwa welcomed her daughter in August 2025, just a few months after celebrating her 40th birthday.
The mother-of-one revealed these sentiments while extending her congratulations to fellow media personality Ebuka Obi-Uchendu and his wife, Cynthia, following the arrival of their third child. Taking to her Instagram story on Sunday, June 28, Makinwa penned, “Funny how having a baby at 40, I was worried about being the oldest mommy in school.”
She further elaborated on her initial anxieties, stating, “I was worried about all my friends' kids all grown but look at God. So many babies born this season. New mom friends and endless community.” Her post highlighted a shift in perspective, embracing the unexpected joy and camaraderie found in her new phase of motherhood.
