Kano Hisbah Detains UK International Over TikTok 'Immoral' Acts

The Kano State Hisbah Board has taken into custody a prominent TikTok content creator, Ukasha Yahaya, widely recognized as UK International. The arrest stems from videos he produced showing him in close contact with women, including scenes of hugging and bathing.

Dr. Mujahid Aminuddeen, the Deputy Commander General of the Hisbah Board, officially confirmed the apprehension on Thursday, September 17, 2026. He stated that the 27-year-old social media personality was picked up after intelligence reports indicated his presence in Kano. Mr. Yahaya is currently being held as investigations into his activities continue.

Ukasha, who hails from Gusau in Zamfara State and resides in Abuja, confessed during questioning that he could not recall the exact number of videos he had created alongside women. He admitted that some of his clips depicted him dancing, embracing, or carrying women, while others contained scenes of swimming and communal bathing.

He further revealed that some of these controversial videos had garnered significant attention, attracting between one and three million views. When questioned about how he sourced the women featured in his content, Ukasha explained that they approached him due to his status as a content creator.

Asked if he would involve his own sisters in similar videos, he responded that all his sisters are married and that his mother, along with other family members, had repeatedly cautioned him about his content. The TikToker also indicated that he is contemplating discontinuing such content as he prepares for marriage. He offered an apology for his actions and promised not to repeat them.

According to a report by Daily Trust, Ukasha’s TikTok account, 'UK INTERNATIONAL,' boasts over 262,000 followers, follows 26 accounts, and has accumulated 2.4 million likes. Dr. Aminuddeen affirmed that Ukasha Yahaya would be prosecuted in court once the ongoing investigations are finalized. He also issued a stern warning to young people against utilizing TikTok for activities that violate established moral and religious principles.
