Phone Snatching Suspect Posing as Soldier Caught at Plateau University

Authorities at the Federal University of Education Pankshin, located in Plateau State, have successfully apprehended an individual suspected of involvement in phone snatching activities. The alleged culprit, identified as Musa Jibril from Bokkos, was taken into custody on Tuesday, September 16, 2026. This arrest followed a period of surveillance based on intelligence reports concerning a string of alleged phone-snatching incidents within the university premises.

Security personnel reportedly tracked Jibril, eventually apprehending him while he was allegedly in the process of carrying out another operation on campus. Initial investigations also revealed that the suspect is accused of impersonating a military officer.
